Waymo has expanded its autonomous vehicle operations to Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, utilizing its Ojai platform without steering wheels or pedals for airport passenger transfers.
Who has access?
For now, the service is only available to existing Waymo app users, with access opening up to more customers in the coming weeks.
Vehicles without steering wheels
The routes will use Waymo's new Ojai vehicle, which is based on the Zeekr RT van. It has no steering wheel or pedals.
The competition in Las Vegas
Harry Reid Airport is the sixth in the United States to approve Waymo's vehicles. Amazon-owned Zoox has been offering shuttle services at the same airport since last month.
