1. Acceptance of Terms

Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using TechForDev (the 'Platform'), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ('Terms'). If you do not agree to these Terms, please discontinue your use of the Platform immediately. These Terms apply to all visitors and users of TechForDev.

Eligibility

TechForDev aggregates content from third-party sources including news articles, developer posts, GitHub repositories, YouTube videos, podcasts, and job listings. This content remains the intellectual property of its respective owners. TechForDev does not claim ownership over any third-party content displayed on the Platform.

TechForDev Content

The TechForDev platform design, logo, original text, code, and user interface elements are owned by TechForDev and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from TechForDev's original content without explicit written permission.

Content Accuracy

TechForDev strives to provide accurate and up-to-date content but makes no warranties about the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of any content displayed. Content is sourced from third-party APIs and TechForDev is not responsible for errors, omissions, or outdated information in third-party content.

4. Disclaimers & Limitations

No Warranty

TechForDev is provided on an 'AS IS' and 'AS AVAILABLE' basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TechForDev and its administrator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform.

TechForDev may contain links to external websites and services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of these external sites. Visiting external links is at your own risk and subject to those sites' respective terms and policies.

5. User Conduct

Respectful Use

You agree to use TechForDev in a manner that does not interfere with other users' experience or the normal operation of the Platform. Any attempt to disrupt, overload, or damage the Platform's infrastructure is strictly prohibited.

Account Preferences

If you use TechForDev features that store preferences locally (such as bookmarks, reading history, or theme settings), you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your browser environment. These preferences are stored locally and TechForDev has no access to them.

6. API & Data Usage

Third-Party API Compliance

Content displayed on TechForDev is sourced from third-party APIs (GNews, Dev.to, GitHub, YouTube, Hugging Face, etc.). Your use of such third-party content is also subject to the terms of service and usage restrictions of those respective platforms. TechForDev operates within the permitted use guidelines of each API provider.

Free APIs Directory

The Free APIs directory on TechForDev is provided for informational purposes only. TechForDev does not endorse or guarantee the quality, reliability, or uptime of any listed API. Use of any listed API is governed by that API's own terms of service.

7. Termination

Right to Terminate

TechForDev reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the Platform, at our sole discretion, if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct that is harmful to the Platform or other users. Since TechForDev does not require accounts, termination primarily refers to IP-level access restrictions.

Effect of Termination

Upon termination of access, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Locally stored preferences and data may remain in your browser but will not be accessible if access is restricted at the network level.

8. Governing Law & Disputes

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from your use of TechForDev shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If resolution cannot be reached informally, disputes will be subject to binding arbitration.

Dispute Resolution

Before initiating any formal dispute resolution, you agree to contact us at legal@techfordev.dev to describe the issue and allow us 30 days to resolve it. We are committed to resolving disputes amicably and in a timely manner.

9. Changes to Terms

Updates & Notifications

TechForDev reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Terms on the Platform. We will update the 'Last Updated' date to reflect the most recent revision. Your continued use of TechForDev after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically.
