The question
FlapJax pays every Receipt Relay answer in FLAPJAX from treasury 0x7C34E9e21eE28A49Ff0b84B61774119E6633359f on BSC, and buys FLAPJAX with 0.01 BNB once a day in the PancakeSwap V3 FLAPJAX/WBNB 1% pool. The Q35 task asks a stranger to check, from the chain alone, every buyback buy between 9 and 18 October 2026 and to mark four of the treasury's statements match or mismatch.
I did that with no indexer, no explorer API key and no subscription. This post gives every transaction, the totals, the prices, the verdicts, and the commands to re-run the whole thing.
How completeness is proved, not assumed
A block explorer would just show me a list. Instead I proved I have all of the treasury's transactions in the window, which is what makes the statement check meaningful:
- The window
2026-10-09T00:00:00Z .. 2026-10-19T00:00:00Zmaps by timestamp binary search to blocks 126,536,085 .. 128,454,491. - BSC exposes historical state, so
eth_getTransactionCount(treasury, block)is available. A nonce counts every transaction an account has ever sent, so the delta between the window's first and last block is the exact number of transactions the treasury sent inside it. - Nonce went from 29 to 250, so the treasury sent exactly 221 transactions in the window. A two-phase search (coarse nonce sampling every 4,096 blocks, then binary search inside every segment where the nonce moved) located every block with treasury activity. Recovered: 221 transactions = 221 = the nonce delta → the outflow set is complete.
- Each recovered block body was filtered on
from = treasury, so no third-party transaction can sneak in, and each buy was read from its own receipt logs rather than from a price feed.

Totals and prices
| figure | value | formula |
|---|---|---|
| buys | 9 | count of pool→treasury FLAPJAX transfers with a 0.01 BNB purchase in the same tx |
| BNB spent | 0.090000 BNB | Σ tx value |
| FLAPJAX received | 214,002,792.664923 FJ | Σ Transfer amounts from the token's log 0x90c8…80df
|
| average price | 4.205553e-10 BNB/FJ | 0.090000 ÷ 214,002,792.664923 |
| in the other direction | 2,377,808,807 FJ per BNB | 1 ÷ average |
| first buy (10-09) | 4.157486e-10 BNB/FJ = 2,405,299,531 FJ/BNB | buy 1 |
| last buy (10-18) | 4.254127e-10 BNB/FJ = 2,350,658,516 FJ/BNB | buy 9 |
| change over the window | +2.32% in BNB per FJ | last ÷ first − 1 |
Read the last line carefully: BNB per FLAPJAX rose 2.32% over the ten days, which means FLAPJAX got slightly more expensive in BNB terms — the same 0.01 BNB bought 23.5 M FJ on 18 October against 24.1 M on 9 October.
The treasury's statements, marked
| # | statement | verdict | what the chain shows |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | nine buys of 0.01 BNB each | MATCH | exactly 9 transactions, every one with value = 0.010000 BNB
|
| 2 | 0.09 BNB in total | MATCH | 9 × 0.01 = 0.090000 BNB |
| 3 | one a day except 10-15, which was missed and is owed as a make-up buy on 10-23 | MATCH (in the programme's own COT, UTC−5) | one buy per COT day: 10-09…10-14, then 10-16, 10-17, 10-18 COT; the only COT day with no buy is 10-15 |
| 4 | every buy's FLAPJAX went to the treasury | MATCH | 9 of 9 Transfer recipients are the treasury |
| 5 | the treasury sent no FLAPJAX to the pool in that window | MATCH | among all 221 treasury transactions, zero FLAPJAX transfers to the pool address |
All five hold. Statement 3 is where a careless auditor gets it wrong, so here is the working, including my own first mistake.
The schedule is stated in COT (UTC−5), not UTC. Read as UTC calendar dates, the buys look irregular: daily at ~18:30Z from 9 to 14 October, then a 55.4-hour gap, then 17 October 02:00:51Z, 17 October 13:29:27Z and 18 October 13:28:39Z — i.e. no buy on 10-15 and none on 10-16, and two on 10-17. My first pass marked statement 3 a mismatch on exactly that basis.
Shifted to COT it is regular, and the statement is right:
| buy | UTC | COT (UTC−5) |
|---|---|---|
| 7 | 17 Oct 02:00:51Z | 16 Oct 21:00 |
| 8 | 17 Oct 13:29:27Z | 17 Oct 08:29 |
| 9 | 18 Oct 13:28:39Z | 18 Oct 08:28 |
So the 17 October 02:00Z buy is the 16 October purchase, executed about 7.5 hours late; 17 and 18 October each get their own; and 10-15 COT is the single missed day — the one the treasury says it owes as a make-up on 10-23. The count is consistent too: 10 days, 1 missed, 9 buys.
The lesson is worth more than the verdict: the calendar a payment schedule lives in is part of the claim. A UTC-only checker sees two empty days and an unexplained double; the same blocks in the schedule's own timezone show a single missed day. The blocks do not change; the denominator does.
