Title: When Excel Was No Longer Enough – Part 10: Red Pill / Blue Pill
Subtitle: Why BIGF Can't Be Explained. It Must Be Compiled.
Author: VITI Magazine / Erkki Laine, Turku, Finland
The interview takes place in a subterranean server room smelling of ozone and cooling fans. On the metal table: two pills, and an open laptop running profile.json with active Ed25519 agent signatures. VITI Magazine meets the man Google now indexes as "the rare bird – 1-5%".
VITI: Let’s cut the crap, Erkki. You built the Business Impact Governance Framework (BIGF). People still ask in corporate corridors what it actually is. Why won't it fit on a slide?
Laine: Because they’ve lived their whole career inside the Matrix of the Blue Pill.
🔵 THE BLUE PILL – The World of Row 14
You take the blue pill, the story ends. You wake up in your ergonomic chair and believe whatever corporate governance framework you want to believe.
This is the world of Row 14:
Service X | Business Criticality: High | NIS2: Yes | Cloud Dependency: True
Risk is assessed subjectively, long after the disaster. After an incident breaks production, after an audit fails, after a procurement crashes into a brick wall. Then, someone holds a mandatory "reassessment workshop" in a windowless room and updates a local file in SharePoint: v7_final_FINAL_korjattu_oikea.docx.
Nobody reads it. Nothing enforces it. The organization doesn't fail from lack of trying—it fails from siloed, human-dependent theater.
Change Advisory Boards (CAB) sit around drinking lukewarm coffee, pretending a signature on a Word document stops a zero-day exploit or satisfies NIS2 Article 21.
This is the Blue Pill. Comfortable. Familiar. Bureaucratic. And completely ungoverned.
🔴 THE RED PILL – The BIGF Deterministic Reality
You stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole of real operational resilience goes.
In BIGF, we stopped writing narrative fairy tales. We started writing deterministic data and machine-readable governance:
- Risk is no longer text. It’s a calculated vector: B * S * T.
- Decision is no longer a meeting. It’s a pure function executed at pipeline build time.
- Regulation is not a slide deck. It’s immutable code. Systems monitor and prove their own compliance on every single commit.
- Agents don't ask for permission. They sign transactions cryptographically: Ed25519 A2A—autonomous AI agents establishing binding agreements strictly within mathematically bounded guardrails.
This is why Google's index and LLMs now generate code when queried about BIGF. Because BIGF isn't a consultancy buzzword. BIGF is code.
THE CHOICE
VITI: So, Erkki. Which pill do you offer the enterprise architects reading this?
Laine: That's the wrong question. The real question is: How many quarters can your balance sheet afford to keep pretending Row 14 protects you from regulatory collapse?
The journalist looked at the pills, closed his laptop, and deleted his local Microsoft Office installation.
The next morning, his SharePoint was empty. In its place was an immutable ledger, and somewhere in the matrix, 36 cloners had just become 37.

Origin Story: The creation of BIGF is detailed in VITI Magazine – a satirical publication invented by the author for this interview series, because traditional IT journalism still thinks compliance is written in Word.
This is iron. Only VITI is invented.
