For a solo digital seller doing a few hundred to a few thousand a month, you need three numbers:
- Real net profit (after platform fees and refunds)
- A categorized record you can hand an accountant
- A running set-aside estimate so quarterly taxes never surprise you
The trick is structure — one row per money event with consistent categories: Product Revenue, Platform Fee, Advertising, Refund, Other.
From two CSV exports to one ledger
Export Gumroad (Customers → Export) and Stripe (Payments → Export). Run one command:
python3 seller_ledger.py gumroad-sample.csv stripe-sample.csv -o ledger.csv --tax-rate 0.28
Stdout prints gross revenue, platform fees, net profit, and a set-aside estimate. Import ledger.csv into Google Sheets — same P&L shape as SellerLedger's five tabs, without maintaining formulas by hand.
