Why You Need a Stripe Fee Calculator
Every time you accept a payment through Stripe, they take 2.9% + $0.30 off the top. That seems simple — until you're handling dozens of transactions at different amounts, dealing with refunds, or trying to forecast your net revenue.
Most people do this calculation manually or with a random online calculator that doesn't save their data. Neither scales.
The Solution: A Google Sheets Template
I built a simple Google Sheets calculator that does three things instantly:
- Single transaction calculator: Type any amount → see fee and net payout in real-time
- Bulk table: Paste a list of 50+ charges → all fees computed automatically
- Monthly summary: See your total gross, fees, and net per month with one formula
The formulas are dead simple:
- Fee = Amount × 0.029 + 0.30
- Net = Amount - Fee
But putting them in a spreadsheet means you can track everything over time, not just one-off calculations.
Free Template
I'm giving away a free version that includes the single calculator and reference table. You can grab it here:

The Full Toolkit
If you need bulk transaction tracking, monthly summaries, and refund/chargeback impact analysis, I have a full paid version with 4 tabs and 50+ pre-filled rows:

Either way, stop doing this math manually. Your time is worth more.
This is a real tool I use daily for my freelance business. I'm sharing it in case it helps you too.
