Why Choose Solar Street Lights?
Traditional street lighting generally depends on grid electricity and wired infrastructure. Solar Street Lights provide an alternative by generating their own energy from sunlight.
One of the biggest advantages of solar lighting is that the fixture can operate independently from the electricity grid. This can be particularly useful for locations where extending electrical wiring is difficult, expensive, or inconvenient.
Solar lighting can also help reduce dependence on conventional electricity for outdoor illumination. Shinesun states that its solar lighting solutions are designed to reduce electricity usage and provide energy-efficient outdoor lighting.
For residential developments, farms, institutions, industrial premises, parking areas, and remote locations, this independent operating model can make solar street lighting a convenient choice.
LiFePO4 Battery Technology
The battery is one of the most important components of a Solar Street Light because it stores energy collected during the day.
The Solar Bat Street Light 40 Watt uses a 12Ah LiFePO4 battery. Lithium iron phosphate, commonly called LiFePO4, is widely used in solar energy applications because of its durability and cycling characteristics.
According to the current Shinesun product information, the battery is specified with an expected service life of approximately 8–12 years.
Using a suitable battery helps the lighting system store solar energy for nighttime operation. Battery capacity should always be considered alongside solar panel capacity, LED output, location, sunlight availability, and expected operating conditions when selecting a solar lighting system.
15W Solar Panel
The Solar Bat Street Light 40 Watt uses a 15W solar panel to charge its battery during daylight hours.
The panel should be positioned so that it receives suitable direct sunlight. Proper installation is important because shading from buildings, trees, structures, or other obstacles can reduce the amount of solar energy available for charging.
For best performance, the installation location should be evaluated before mounting the system. The orientation and positioning of the solar panel can directly influence daily energy generation.
1,600 Lumens LED Lighting
The lighting unit provides 40W LED output and 1,600 lumens. The fixture uses 100 Nichia LED chips, supporting efficient illumination for its intended applications.
When comparing Solar Street Lights, it is important to consider lumens in addition to wattage. Wattage indicates electrical power consumption, while lumens indicate the amount of visible light produced.
For buyers, looking at both specifications provides a better understanding of the expected lighting performance.
Applications of Solar Bat Street Light 40 Watt
The Solar Bat Street Light 40 Watt can be used in various residential and commercial outdoor environments.
Residential Roads
Residential communities, apartment societies, gated communities, and internal roads can benefit from independent solar lighting. The product is designed around a 5-metre mounting height and can be used for internal road and lane lighting.
Parking Areas
Parking lots and outdoor vehicle areas require consistent illumination for visibility and movement. Solar-powered fixtures can provide lighting without requiring a conventional electrical connection at every installation point.
Gardens and Pathways
Solar Street Lights can also be considered for larger outdoor pathways, garden approaches, and common areas where conventional wiring may be inconvenient.
Farmhouses and Open Properties
Large properties, farmhouses, agricultural premises, and remote areas can benefit from standalone outdoor lighting because installing electrical infrastructure across an extensive property can be challenging.
Commercial and Institutional Areas
Schools, campuses, resorts, warehouses, offices, and other institutions can use solar lighting for internal roads and outdoor spaces where appropriate.
Installation and Mounting
Proper installation is essential for achieving reliable performance from Solar Street Lights.
The Solar Bat Street Light 40 Watt can be mounted on a pole or wall, with the product information recommending approximately a 5-metre mounting height. The product is also specified for installation on a 2-inch GI pole.
