OpenAI is currently working on a new private funding round to raise up to $30 billion, with discussions exploring a $1.25 trillion pre-money valuation.
Terms remain under negotiation and could change.
The effort is reportedly led by investment firm Coatue and investors from the United Arab Emirates. A previous Bloomberg report a month ago had reported a similar funding amount but with a different valuation. The terms of the deal have not been finalized and could change, while OpenAI declined to comment.
The most valuable private company in history
If the final valuation exceeds $1 trillion, OpenAI will become the most valuable private company ever. The move follows a previous funding round in March and a confidential IPO filing last June.
The agreement with investors from the United Arab Emirates may also be linked to OpenAI's effort to secure greater computing power for its needs.
