Anthropic’s Claude Duet is an app for automating and managing work, built on Claude Opus 5.5.
It can connect to more than 6,000 apps and extensions in Claude Marketplace, complete tasks in the background and ask for approval for sensitive actions.
One product detail to note: Duet does not show its browser use while it is happening.
Duet can generate daily updates, create dashboards, and suggest actions based on user data. Anthropic says it's not intended for everyday services like booking tickets. Also, the user doesn't see what Duet is doing in the browser while using it.
Duet is based on the Claude Opus 5.5 model and can connect to more than 6.000 apps and add-ons in the Claude Marketplace. It can also make online purchases on the user’s behalf via Stripe’s Link or Shopify’s Shop Pay. According to Anthropic, sensitive actions, such as payments, require user approval. Duet cannot buy or sell securities or transfer money from one account to another.
Anthropic also introduced a new message control that aims to prevent sensitive information from leaking. According to the company, Duet denies requests for credit card numbers and government identification by default.
