Pangolin 1.25 is available, introducing HTTP redirects, mutual TLS authentication, and four load-balancing strategies for its WireGuard-based secure access platform.
New management and traffic capabilities
The new version adds support for website redirects. Administrators can now configure redirects associated with domain names or public resources, allowing for changing URL paths as well as temporary or permanent redirects through the corresponding section of the management interface.
At the same time, mutual digital certificate authentication is introduced for public resources, requiring clients to present a valid certificate signed by a trusted authority. For distributing traffic to public HTTP and HTTPS resources, four load balancing strategies are offered: equal distribution, choice between two random options, distribution based on the client address, and preference for the fastest response. Full support for these strategies requires the use of a specific companion tool in a newer version, which is updated manually. In addition, permanent redirects require an updated version of the corresponding system, which is performed automatically or manually depending on the installation.
Access and security settings
Version 1.25 allows automatic clients to inherit permissions from assigned roles, combining roles with direct access permissions. Administrators can now export public and private resources as text settings directly from the management environment, via commands or other available options.

Private HTTP resources can carry the credentials of authenticated users to core applications using special headers. In addition, community edition users can renew digital keys for locations, auto-clients, and remote points directly from the management interface, choosing to renew with or without logging out. The update also includes bug fixes and interface improvements.
