Sony announced the $100 PlayStation Pulse wireless headset, featuring upgraded planar magnetic drivers, AI-driven noise cancellation, and PlayStation Link support.
Pre-orders begin October 29.
The device will be available in countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan, as well as more than a dozen other countries. Pre-orders will begin on October 29, with the company announcing a release date for other regions at a later date. The headset will be sold in white and black, and is priced at $50 less than the PlayStation Pulse Elite model.
Audio features and connectivity
The headphones feature larger audio components than the previous model. According to Sony, they offer fuller bass and clearer sound, similar to that of the Pulse Elite. The audio accuracy helps players understand which direction sounds are coming from in games, while the microphone features technology to reduce ambient noise.
The device supports classic Bluetooth connectivity as well as PlayStation Link technology. This technology connects the headphones to compatible devices such as PlayStation 5, PlayStation Portal, Mac and PC computers, offering instant switching between devices and clear sound without delays.
