Disclosure: this post comes from the team behind Zombie Couple Video, so keep that in mind as you read.
Search for the zombie trend and you will quickly find the CapCut template known as "My Beloved Zombie". It is a fast way in, and many templates cost little or nothing. Before you spend an evening on one, it is worth knowing where templates stop and where a dedicated tool starts.
Where templates fall short
- One face, not two. Many templates transform only one photo, so the second person in the story is missing.
- No real story. The confrontation, the moment of connection and the cut to a memory are often absent.
- Availability changes. Templates appear and disappear, and some show "not available" depending on your country.
- A fixed edit. You fill the slots in order, but you cannot change the story beneath them.
What a generator does differently
A dedicated AI zombie couple video maker builds the whole scene from both faces. The sequence covers the cold apocalypse shot, the turn, the rush toward each other and a warm memory to close. You upload two photos and get a 15-second, 720p clip with audio, ready to post.
Pricing is simple: $6.90 per video, or $24.90 for a pack of five if you plan to make several.
So which should you use?
- Want a quick single-face effect for a trend? Try a template.
- Want both of you in a finished story with a hard cut to a memory? Use a generator.
- Want full control and do not mind re-rolling clips? Use a reference-image video model and edit the result yourself.
Many creators combine the two. Generate the story, then add captions or a trending sound in CapCut. The template gives you a fast look, and the generator gives you the narrative.
If you are planning a Halloween post with someone you care about, decide early which kind of clip you want. A template is quicker to start, while a generator gets you both faces and a complete story in one pass.
