This started as a small user-facing problem and turned into a product decision.
I have abandoned apps at the account screen before seeing what they do. A plant tracker should not need my email address before it lets me record a pothos sitting two feet away.
What GrowBook does
GrowBook stores plants, care schedules and journal entries on the phone first. You can open it, add a plant and set a reminder without creating an account. Cloud sync and family sharing need an account because another device has to know who you are, but that choice comes later.
The boundary I kept
This also means a weak connection does not block the basic work. The plant is still in the room when Wi-Fi is down, and the record should still be available.
The plant list should appear before the account form. In GrowBook, it does.
