Most clinic websites are built like brochures: a hero, a list of services, a contact page. Patients do not use them like brochures. A patient arrives with one job — book the right doctor, fast, on a phone — and every screen that does not serve that job is friction.
We shipped a healthcare solutions page today and had to make these decisions for real, so here is the checklist that survived contact with an actual build:
1. Booking is the product, not a feature
The appointment action has to be reachable from every key screen, not parked on a contact page. On mobile that means the booking/contact action stays in reach while the visitor reads — the same pattern we use for enquiries generally: a lead is a WhatsApp message, a call, or a form submit, and the path to one of those three should never be more than a tap away.
2. Doctor profiles are decision pages
Patients choose people, not departments. A doctor profile needs the things a patient actually compares: specialty, languages spoken, location, and a direct booking route from that profile. A grid of names with no detail forces the patient to call and ask — and many simply book elsewhere instead.
3. Arabic is not a translation toggle
In the UAE, an Arabic version that is a shallow copy of the English page reads as an afterthought to the exact audience it is meant to serve. Proper RTL layout and genuinely reviewed Arabic copy are part of the build, not a plugin. We treat bilingual work as its own scope for this reason.
4. Trust content belongs before the ask
Insurance partners accepted, accreditations, and what happens at the first visit — placed before the booking prompt, not after it. Patients hand over health details and payment information on these sites; the proof has to arrive before the form does.
5. Speed and security are patient-experience issues
A slow mobile page loses the booking. A neglected site — outdated software, no maintenance routine — risks the one incident a clinic cannot afford. Security patching and backups are not IT chores on a healthcare site; they are part of patient trust.
The full breakdown of how we structure this — patient journey, booking flow, doctor profiles, bilingual build, and the maintenance side — is here: clinic and healthcare website solutions in Dubai.
If you run a clinic site, audit it against the patient's job, not the brochure: can a new patient, on a phone, in Arabic or English, reach the right doctor's booking in under a minute? Everything else is decoration.
