🌟 What I Built

Spot-Undoo is an open-source, privacy-first micro-travel companion and layover optimizer engineered for travelers across all 14 Kerala districts.

Most travel applications (Google Maps, TripAdvisor) funnel millions of tourists toward the same commercial bottlenecks while ignoring the quiet backwater channels, century-old bakeries, and heritage alleyways that embody the true soul of God's Own Country. Transit commuters stuck on railway layovers (like Shoranur Junction or Ernakulam South) suffer from extreme train delay anxiety and cannot find curated routes within strict time and rupee limits.

Spot-Undoo solves this by pairing locally hosted open-weight AI models (fine-tuned Qwen 2.5:3B / Qwen 3.5 4B) with MongoDB Atlas, ElevenLabs Voice AI, Vercel & Render cloud deployment, a Google Maps link & GPS parser, a Multimodal Ride Hailing Comparator (Uber, Rapido, Ola), Native Android Google Sign-In, 60fps OpenStreetMap with Avada Styles, 100m Proximity Guard with Interactive Place Previews, and a Native Android APK to generate constraint-guaranteed itineraries on the fly.

- Comprehensive authentic spots across Shoranur Jn, Pattambi, Kochi / Ernakulam, Calicut, Palakkad, Trivandrum, Kollam, and Wayanad.
- Curated high-resolution photography with automatic onerror CDN fallbacks so no spot ever shows broken icons or mismatched waterfalls.
🛺 Multimodal Ride Hailing Comparator (Uber, Rapido, Ola):
- Live fare calculation engine based on Kerala Transport meter rates and distance.
- Side-by-side comparison for Rapido Bike Taxi, Uber Moto, Uber Auto, Rapido Auto, Ola Auto, and Uber Go (AC Cab).
- Smart ranking filters: Lowest Fare, Fastest ETA, Bikes, Autos, Cabs.
- 1-tap "Go" button directly opens the native Uber or Rapido mobile app with the destination coordinates and place name pre-filled!
📍 Smart Location Engine & 100m Proximity Guard:
- Paste any Google Maps URL (including short links like maps.app.goo.gl, @lat,lng, !3d!4d, or query=lat,lng) to automatically extract coordinates, place names, and detect the nearest Kerala city.
- Interactive 100-Meter Proximity Verification: Detects when a spot already exists within 100 meters, opening an interactive confirmation modal showing the existing place's photos, rating, and reviews.
- One-tap live GPS auto-fill with instant local cache fallback.
🧠 Edge AI Itinerary Synthesis & Zero-Duplicate Engine:
- Local on-device Qwen inference on consumer GPUs (71 tokens/sec) with zero per-token cloud costs.
- Generates 3 distinct JSON itineraries: Plan 1 (Mood Match), Plan 2 (Ultra-Budget Saver), and Plan 3 (Hidden Gem Route).
- Strict Zero-Duplicate & Termination Sanitizer: Guarantees every single stop is unique; never adds repetitive loops or duplicate return legs to fill time.
🗺️ 60fps OpenStreetMap with Avada Themes:
- Silky smooth 60fps pan and zoom with dynamic multi-level zoom photo markers and viewport culling.
- Instant map theme switching between Standard OSM, Dark Mode, High-Contrast Neo-Brutalist, and Voyager.
📱 Native Android Google Sign-In & APK:
- Powered by @codetrix-studio/capacitor-google-auth for seamless one-tap native account selection on Android without opening external browser tabs.
- Packaged with Capacitor for native Android deployment (SpotUndoo-v1.0.apk).

- Built-in audio narration for spots and transit trails powered by ElevenLabs with automatic client-side Web Speech fallback.

🛠️ Tech Stack & Architecture

Frontend & CDN: React 18, Vite, Tailwind CSS, Lucide Icons, Leaflet OpenStreetMap, hosted on Vercel Edge Network.
AI Model & Inference: Local Qwen 2.5:3B on Ollama (spot-undo-qwen) + Groq Cloud API (Qwen 3.8 27B) + Google Gemini Flash + Tinker SDK fine-tuning.
Ride Hailing Integration: Deep linking into Uber (uber://), Rapido (rapido://), and Ola (olacabs://) with dynamic fare calculation.
Audio & Voice: ElevenLabs Multilingual TTS (/api/audio/tts) with Web Speech API fallback.
Database & Cloud Backend: MongoDB Atlas cloud cluster + Firebase Storage + Node.js / Express REST API deployed on Render.
Auth: Native Android Google Sign-In (@codetrix-studio/capacitor-google-auth), Firebase Auth, and bcrypt JWT.
Mobile Engine: Capacitor native Android bridge (SpotUndoo-v1.0.apk).
