Every time I build a storefront demo, the product grid is either gray boxes or the same Unsplash photo repeated twelve times. Neither looks like a shop, and clients judge the layout by the pictures anyway.
So I made a small free service: real-looking product photos served from a URL at any size, with every item shot from several angles. One seed is one product, angle walks around it, so a product page gets a gallery whose shots belong together.
Product placeholder, front angle (https://img.loomhelix.com/seed/sku-1024/600x750)
Same product, second angle (https://img.loomhelix.com/seed/sku-1024/600x750?angle=2)
What it does:
- Any size in the path,
.webpby default,.jpg,.png,.avifon request - Categories:
apparel,shoes,bags,electronics,audio,womenswear -
fit=coverorcontain,blur,grayscale,bg=hex,dpr=2 - No API key, no signup, no attribution
The photos are generated for this catalog, so there is no stock license behind them and nothing stops working when the mockup turns into a paid theme.
Builder, catalog and full URL reference: https://loomhelix.com/placeholder
Feedback welcome, especially which product categories you would want next.
