Introduction
AI is no longer a distant buzzword for Nigerian creators; it’s a toolkit that turns a single text prompt into a full‑length video or a gallery of images. Afrigen lets you create without cameras, crews, or expensive post‑production.
Why AI Matters for African Storytelling
- Speed – Production time can drop from weeks to days.
- Cost – No need for high‑end equipment or studio rentals.
- Scale – One prompt can spawn multiple media assets for different platforms.
- Community – Shared prompts and templates become building blocks for collective narratives.
Workflow Example: From Prompt to Video
Below is a simplified workflow you can implement with Afrigen’s API:
# 1. Craft a prompt
prompt = "A bustling Lagos market at sunrise, vibrant colors, local music in the background"
# 2. Send request to Afrigen
response = POST https://api.afrigen.com/v1/generate {
"prompt": prompt,
"style": "cinematic",
"duration": 30
}
# 3. Receive video URL
video_url = response.data.video_url
# 4. Embed in your story
embed(video_url)
