On TikTok, creators are turning viral silhouettes into $5,000-a-month jewelry lines without holding inventory. The print-on-demand workflow removes the need for warehousing, order fulfillment, and upfront capital. Compared to Etsy, where sellers face listing fees, shipping costs, and inventory risk, the POD model offers a leaner cost structure. Students find the model attractive because it requires minimal startup capital and can be run alongside coursework.
Typical workflow:
- Identify trending silhouettes on TikTok.
- Upload designs to a POD platform.
- Set a price that covers base cost plus margin.
- Promote the product on TikTok and other channels.
- Let the POD provider handle manufacturing, shipping, and customer service.
The model scales with demand, allowing creators to grow revenue without reordering stock.
