Vibe coding can feel almost magical. You describe what you want, and an AI tool can produce working code in seconds. It is a great way to experiment, build small projects, and turn an idea into something real without writing every line yourself. But there is a catch. AI-generated code can contain bugs, security problems, or decisions that the developer does not fully understand.
So, who is responsible when something breaks? In most cases, the responsibility still belongs to the person or team putting the software into use. Using AI does not remove the need for testing, code reviews, security checks, and human judgment. The developer may not write every line anymore, but they still need to understand enough to check whether the result is safe and reliable.
The best way to use vibe coding is to treat AI like a fast coding partner, not an unquestionable expert. Let it help you build, but test what it creates. That balance makes vibe coding useful without turning a quick shortcut into a much bigger problem later.
