Introduction
Every African storyteller knows that the biggest barrier to sharing stories is the cost of production. From renting a camera to hiring a crew, the journey from idea to video can be daunting. Afrigen flips that narrative by turning a text prompt into a polished AI‑generated video in minutes.
What is Afrigen?
Afrigen is an AI platform that uses state‑of‑the‑art text‑to‑video models to create high‑quality visual narratives. It is built on open‑source frameworks like Stable Diffusion and GPT‑based text‑analysis, fine‑tuned for African contexts.
How It Works
- Write Your Prompt – Describe your story, characters, setting, and tone.
- Generate – Afrigen’s backend sends the prompt through a diffusion model and a text‑to‑speech engine.
- Refine – You can tweak the storyboard, add subtitles, or swap scenes.
- Export – Download a 1080p MP4 or share directly to social media.
Technical Workflow Example
# Pseudocode for a custom Afrigen integration
prompt = "A bustling Lagos market at sunrise, with vibrant stalls and a young entrepreneur telling a tale"
video = Afrigen.generate_video(prompt, resolution='1080p', duration=30)
video.add_subtitles(language='en', style='black_on_white')
video.export('market_story.mp4')
