In the evolving landscape of modern grooming, men are increasingly seeking out the same high-quality aesthetic treatments that have long been staples for women. At Magical Waxing®, we have seen a significant shift toward professional body hair removal for men, particularly in our Marietta and Dunwoody locations. One service, in particular, has risen to the top of our most-requested list: the manzilian wax. While the name might sound modern, the practice of male intimate grooming is a timeless way to feel cleaner, more confident, and ready for any season.
If you have been searching for a professional manzilian wax in the Atlanta area, you are not alone. Our team of expert estheticians is trained specifically in the techniques required for male anatomy, ensuring a process that is as efficient and comfortable as possible. We utilize twelve varieties of premium Italian hard wax, allowing us to customize the experience based on your specific hair texture and skin sensitivity. Whether you are a regular at our Marietta salon or visiting us for the first time in Snellville, we are here to walk you through everything you need to know about this popular service.
What Exactly is a Manzilian Wax?
For those new to the world of professional grooming, a manzilian wax is the male equivalent of a Brazilian wax. It involves the complete removal of hair from the pubic region, including the scrotum, the perineum, and the anal area. Some clients choose to leave a small amount of hair on the top (often referred to as a "landing strip"), while most prefer a completely smooth finish. At Magical Waxing®, our goal is to provide a service that leaves you feeling fresh and rejuvenated.
Why do men choose this service over shaving? The answer lies in the longevity and quality of the results. While shaving often leads to itchy regrowth, razor burn, and unsightly bumps within twenty-four hours, a professional wax removes the hair from the root. This means you can enjoy smooth skin for weeks at a time. Furthermore, because we use high-grade Italian hard wax, the wax adheres only to the hair and not the skin, significantly reducing discomfort compared to traditional soft strip waxes.

The Benefits of Professional Male Waxing in Atlanta
Choosing a professional manzilian wax offers several advantages that you simply cannot replicate at home with a razor or over-the-counter creams. Here are a few reasons why our clients across all eight locations, from Tucker to Loganville, swear by this treatment:
- Hygiene and Freshness: Removing hair in the intimate area reduces sweat retention and bacteria buildup, leading to a fresher feeling throughout the day, especially during the humid Georgia summers.
- Better Aesthetics: For athletes, bodybuilders, or anyone who takes pride in their physique, removing unwanted hair helps highlight muscle definition and provides a clean, polished look.
- Reduced Irritation: Chronic shavers often deal with ingrown hairs and "strawberry skin." Professional waxing thins the hair over time, making regrowth softer and less likely to become trapped under the skin.
- Expert Care: Our estheticians are professionals who understand the nuances of male skin. We provide a discreet, comfortable environment where your privacy is respected.
Combining Your Wax with Lash and Brow Services
While the manzilian wax is a cornerstone of our male grooming menu, many of our clients find that a full-service "refresh" involves more than just body hair removal. At Magical Waxing®, we specialize in framing the face to enhance your natural features. Many men are now opting for eyebrow threading or waxing to clean up a "unibrow" or define their arches. Our eyebrow services start at just {{eyebrowPrice}}.
For those looking for a truly low-maintenance morning routine, we also offer lash services. While lash extensions (starting at {{lashExtensions}}) are popular for a dramatic look, many of our male clients prefer a subtle lash lift. A lash lift ({{lashLift}}) curls your natural lashes upward, making the eyes appear more open and alert without the need for any products. When paired with a full face service ({{fullFace}}), you can achieve a groomed, professional appearance that lasts for weeks.
What to Expect During Your Appointment
We understand that for many men, the first manzilian wax can be a bit nerve-wracking. However, our team at the Marietta location and beyond is dedicated to making the experience seamless. When you arrive, you will be taken to a private room. Your esthetician will provide a cleanser to ensure the area is ready for treatment. We then apply a pre-wax oil to protect the skin before applying our premium Italian hard wax.
The wax is applied warm and hardens quickly. Once set, the esthetician removes the wax in a quick, practiced motion. Because hard wax encapsulates the hair rather than pulling on the skin, the "sting" is fleeting. We finish the service with a soothing post-wax lotion to calm the skin and prevent redness. The entire process usually takes between thirty and forty-five minutes, depending on the amount of hair being removed.
Preparing for Your Manzilian: A Quick Guide
To get the best results from your manzilian wax, a little bit of preparation goes a long way. Follow these tips to ensure your skin is ready for your appointment:
- Let it Grow: For the wax to grab the hair effectively, it needs to be about the length of a grain of rice (approximately 1/4 inch). If you have recently shaved, wait at least two to three weeks before booking.
- Exfoliate Gently: A day before your appointment, use a gentle scrub or exfoliating mitt to remove dead skin cells. This helps the wax adhere better and prevents ingrown hairs.
- Hydrate: Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your wax. Hydrated skin releases hair more easily than dry, brittle skin.
- Wear Loose Clothing: After your wax, your skin will be sensitive. Wear loose-fitting cotton underwear and trousers to avoid friction and allow the skin to breathe.
Frequently Asked Questions About Male Waxing
Does a manzilian wax hurt?
While no hair removal from the root is entirely painless, the sensation is much less than most people imagine. Our use of premium Italian hard wax is designed specifically to minimize discomfort. Most clients describe it as a quick "snap" that fades in seconds. The more regularly you wax, the less it hurts, as the hair follicles become weaker.
How long do the results last?
Typically, a manzilian wax will keep you smooth for three to six weeks. This varies based on your individual hair growth cycle. We recommend scheduling your follow-up appointments every four weeks to maintain the best results and ensure the hair stays thin and soft.
Can I get a wax if I have sensitive skin?
Absolutely. In fact, waxing is often better for sensitive skin than shaving, which can cause constant micro-abrasions. Our twelve varieties of wax include formulations specifically for sensitive areas. Just let your esthetician know about any concerns you have during your consultation.
Is it awkward?
Not at all! Our estheticians are highly trained professionals who perform these services every day. We maintain the highest standards of professionalism and discretion. Our goal is to make you feel comfortable and confident in your skin.
