Building a Multi-Blog Publishing Platform
I'm currently building a backend system using FastAPI that lets a user write one blog post and publish it across multiple platforms at once.
Why I Built This
Manually posting the same content to Dev.to, Hashnode, and other platforms takes a lot of repeated effort. This project solves that by giving one Create Blog page and one Publish page with checkboxes for each platform.
Tech Stack
- FastAPI for the backend
- SQLAlchemy + Alembic for database and migrations
- PostgreSQL as the database
- httpx for calling external platform APIs
How It Works
- User writes a blog on the Create Blog page
- User selects platforms on the Publish page (Dev.to, company sites, etc.)
- Backend loops through each selected platform and publishes automatically
- Each platform returns a success or failure status shown back to the user
What's Next
I'm now working on adding more platforms and moving credentials into a secure, per-user setup instead of hardcoded keys.
