Top Fixed-Price MVP Development Agencies in 2026 (Ranked and Compared)

Originally published on squadprime.com.

Fixed-price MVP development exists because of one number: most founders who hire hourly get a quote for 3 months and an invoice for 9. With a fixed price, the overrun risk moves from your budget to the vendor's margin - which is exactly where it belongs when you are a non-technical founder buying your first build.

But "fixed price" alone doesn't protect you. What separates these vendors is what happens when they miss the deadline. So this comparison ranks six credible fixed-price vendors on three things you can verify before paying: the published price, the promised timeline, and the exact wording of the guarantee.

The comparison at a glance

Agency	Price	Timeline	If they miss the deadline	Price shown where
1. SquadPrime	Fixed quote upfront	14 days	You don't pay	Quoted on the free call
2. HouseofMVPs	$3,999 - $14,999 tiers	1-2 weeks	Fixed-price promise, no deadline penalty	On site
3. Shipkit	$5,900 / $8,900 / $14,900+	Weeks (varies)	No delivery guarantee advertised	On site
4. MVPExpert	$4,990	14 days	Works free until it's done	On site
5. RocketMVP	$497 sprint + $3,999 build	21 days	Fixed price, no deadline penalty	On site
6. Altar.io	10,000 EUR	30 days	Fixed scope, no deadline penalty	On site

The guarantee column is the one to read twice. "We work free until it ships" means a missed deadline still costs you the full price - you just don't pay for the overtime. "You don't pay" means a missed deadline costs you nothing. Only one vendor in this list carries the second kind.

The ranking, vendor by vendor

SquadPrime

Best overall: only no-pay guarantee
Price: fixed, quoted upfront on a free call · Timeline: 14 days · Guarantee: ship in 14 days or you don't pay

SquadPrime builds production-ready MVPs for non-technical founders: a senior team you talk to directly (no account managers), weekly demos, 100% code ownership on delivery, and one fixed price agreed before work starts. The differentiator is the guarantee: if the working MVP isn't shipped in 14 days, you don't pay. As of July 2026, no other vendor in this comparison puts the actual invoice at stake - the rest promise free overtime at most. If your biggest fear is paying for months and getting nothing (the most common founder story in this market), this is the only offer where that outcome is contractually impossible.

HouseofMVPs

Best budget tiers + AI add-ons
Price: $3,999 (Validate) / $7,499 (Launch) / $14,999+ (Scale) · Timeline: 1-2 weeks · Guarantee: fixed price, 50/50 payment, no scope-creep charges

The most transparent pricing page in the market, a "staging URL by Day 5" progress checkpoint (a genuinely good idea), and an AI-employees product line if you want automation alongside the MVP. Read the tier definitions carefully: the $3,999 tier is their entry "Validate" tier - demand-testing scope rather than a production build, and ongoing maintenance is a separate $499/month. No penalty attaches to the timeline itself.

Shipkit

Best payment structure
Price: $5,900 validation / $8,900 MVP / $14,900+ custom · Timeline: varies by tier · Guarantee: none advertised

Clear three-tier pricing on the site and a fair 50/50 payment split (half upfront, half on delivery), which limits your exposure. The gap: no advertised delivery guarantee, so the timeline rests on goodwill rather than consequences.

MVPExpert

Best solo-operator price
Price: $4,990 · Timeline: 14 days · Guarantee: works free until it's done

By its own site's description this is a one-person productized operation, with an honest offer: $4,990, 14 days, and free overtime if the deadline slips. At this price it's a serious option for a very tight scope. The structural risk is the same one that makes founders avoid freelancers: one person is the whole team - capacity, availability and continuity all hang on a single individual.

RocketMVP

Best for AI-heavy SaaS on a budget
Price: $497 strategy sprint + $3,999 build · Timeline: 21 days · Guarantee: "Fixed Price. No Surprises. Ever."

Founder-led and aimed squarely at non-technical founders building AI-flavored SaaS; marketing and sales agents are bundled into the build. The paid $497 sprint before the build is actually sensible scoping. Trade-offs: three weeks instead of two, a small operation, and no deadline penalty.

Altar.io

Best EU option
Price: 10,000 EUR · Timeline: 30 days · Guarantee: fixed scope, fixed price

A productized "MVP in 30 days" offer from an established European studio with strong content and process discipline. If you're in the EU and a 30-day timeline works for you, it's a credible pick; it's simply slower than the two-week tier and carries no deadline penalty.

How we ranked them

Every vendor here was checked in July 2026 from primary sources: their own pricing pages, their own ads, and the exact wording of their guarantees. The ranking weighs three questions in order of how much money they protect:

Who carries the delivery risk? A no-pay guarantee beats free overtime, which beats no guarantee.
Is the price knowable before you commit? Fixed and stated beats fixed-after-discovery beats hourly.
Is the timeline a promise or a hope? A dated commitment with consequences beats an estimate.

What this list deliberately ignores: team size, office locations and logo walls - none of which change what you pay or when you ship.

FAQ

What does fixed-price MVP development mean?

You agree on scope and one total price before work starts, and that price does not change. The overrun risk (extra hours, rework, delays) sits with the vendor instead of your budget. It's the opposite of hourly billing, where every overrun lands on your invoice.

What's the real difference between "we work free until it ships" and "you don't pay"?

"We work free" means a missed deadline still costs you the full price - the vendor only donates the overtime. "You don't pay" means a missed deadline costs you nothing at all. The first puts the vendor's time at stake; the second puts their money at stake. Vendors price and plan very differently when their own invoice depends on the date.

How fast can an MVP realistically ship?

With a tight scope (3-5 core features), a senior team ships a production-ready MVP in 2-3 weeks. Quotes of 3-6 months usually mean the scope is bigger than a first version needs to be.

Should I insist on code ownership?

Yes, in writing, at any price point: 100% of the code and repositories transferred on delivery, no licensing strings. Every vendor on this list should agree to that without hesitation - walk away from any that won't.

All third-party company names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only. Prices, timelines and guarantee terms were taken from each vendor's own public website or advertising as of July 6, 2026 and may change at any time - always verify current terms directly with the vendor.
