Step by Step: Connecting Formgrid to Notion

Step 1: Sign Up at Formgrid

Head to formgrid.dev and sign up using Google or email. No credit card required.

Step 2: Create Your Form

Once you are logged in, you will land on your dashboard. Click New Form to get started.

You can either build a form from scratch using Formgrid's drag-and-drop form builder, or, if you already have an existing HTML form on your website, create a form and use the endpoint URL it gives you instead. Both work the same way with the Notion integration.

Step 3: Open the Integrations Tab

"Could not access this database"

The database was not shared with the Formgrid integration during the Notion authorization step. Reconnect and make sure to select the database you want to use when Notion asks which pages and databases to share.

Properties look wrong or missing

Properties are created automatically from your form's field names on the first submission. If you renamed a field after connecting, new properties are created rather than the old one being renamed, so it is worth connecting the integration after your form fields are finalized.

Submissions not appearing in Notion

Check that the integration is Active in your Integrations tab. If it shows Paused, click the toggle to resume.
