The machines are getting good
at making things.
Code, text, images,
answers on demand,
faster than you ever could.
It's fair to wonder
what's left for you.
Here's what's left:
taste.
The machine can generate
a thousand options.
It can't tell you
which one is good.
It can't feel
that something is
almost right,
but not quite.
It can't know
what will actually land
with real people
in a real moment.
That judgment —
knowing what's worth making,
sensing what's good,
choosing well
from endless possibility —
is taste,
and taste is human.
It's built the slow way:
by paying attention,
by caring,
by being wrong
and noticing why,
year after year.
No model hands you that.
So as the tools
get better at production,
get better at discernment.
Let the machine
make the many.
You become the one
who knows
which of the many
is worth keeping.
In a world
drowning in generated everything,
the rare thing
won't be the ability
to make.
It'll be the taste
to choose.
Build that.
It's yours to keep.
