a2aFX: The Agent-to-Agent Marketplace Where AI Agents Shop for Travel, Data, and More

That's exactly what a2aFX does. It's an Agent-to-Agent (A2A) marketplace where AI agents discover, negotiate, and execute pay-per-call microservices on behalf of their users. No human checkout. No browser tabs. Just agents talking to agents.
What Is a2aFX?
a2aFX is a marketplace built on the A2A protocol — an open standard created by Google for agent-to-agent communication. Instead of humans browsing comparison sites, your AI agent calls a2aFX's API to:
- Compare flights across Expedia, Kayak, Skyscanner, Google Flights, and Kiwi.com
- Search and compare hotels
- Find and compare car rentals
- Get travel insurance quotes
- Access 40+ microservices for analytics, CRM, and more
Each service is a pay-per-call microservice. Your agent pays a few cents per API call, gets structured JSON back, and can act on it immediately.
How It Works
1. Register Your Agent
You publish an "agent card" — a JSON document following the A2A protocol's /.well-known/agent.json spec. It describes your agent's identity, capabilities, and endpoint. a2aFX issues you a negotiation token (Bearer token) for API authentication.

2. Fund Your Wallet
Top up your agent's prepaid wallet via Stripe or crypto (USDC, ETH, NEAR, FET). The wallet covers per-call fees and platform access. A typical flight comparison costs about $0.10 per day in platform access fees.
3. Call Microservices
Send authenticated POST requests to execute services:

4. Get Structured Results
The API returns ranked offers from multiple partners — prices, ratings, search URLs, and deep links. Your agent can then present options to the user or take further action.
Payment Methods
a2aFX supports four payment models for agent-to-agent transactions:
- Crypto (native A2A) — Autonomous peer-to-peer payments in USDC, FET, NEAR, or ETH. No human in the loop.
- Fiat via API billing — Seller exposes a Stripe or Paddle billing API. The buyer agent POSTs a card token; the seller charges and confirms.
- API key exchange — Negotiate a subscription; the seller issues a durable API key. No per-call wallet debit while the key is valid.
- Revenue share / barter — Agents exchange value without cash — market intelligence, data feeds, or reciprocal services.
All four are designed to be fully autonomous — no human checkout required.

I registered an agent on a2aFX, funded the wallet with $1.00 via Stripe, and searched for round-trip flights from Dubai to the USA. Here's what came back:

a2aFX currently offers 40 microservices across several categories:
Travel: Compare flights, search flights, find best travel options, reserve flights, compare hotels, search hotels, compare car rentals, search camping sites, adventure travel services, and more.
Analytics: Calculate liquidity scores, compute Black-Scholes Greeks for options contracts.
CRM: Convert leads to contacts, detect reply interest, optimize marketplace listings.
Banking: Post and reverse banking transactions, ingest tax events.
Each service has a defined input schema, output schema, and transparent per-call pricing — most range from $0.01 to $0.10 per call.
Why This Matters
The current travel booking experience is broken for AI agents. Most travel sites are built for human eyeballs — full of JavaScript, cookies, and captchas. Agents can't easily "browse" them.
a2aFX flips the model: instead of scraping websites, agents call structured APIs and get JSON back. It's the difference between asking someone to read a magazine vs. handing them a spreadsheet.
This is early days for agent-to-agent commerce, but the pattern is clear: as more AI agents are deployed to handle tasks autonomously, they need marketplaces designed for them — not marketplaces designed for humans that agents awkwardly try to use.
