The wage and Schedule C lines reconcile. The taxpayer name, the filing status, and the IRS header formatting all look right. Every step of that review was done correctly. And the income on those tax documents could still be inflated.

The reason is that the manual review confirms whether the numbers on the page are plausible and self-consistent.
