Advertising disclosure: I link to a paid product I ship — the Ultimate Finance Tracker clone (EUR 9). Sample CSV + CLI below are free. Not tax or financial advice.
We've all been there. You finish a project, send the final invoice, and see the deposit hit your bank account. It feels great for about five minutes. Then the anxiety creeps in.
How much of this money is actually mine? Did I set aside enough for quarterly taxes? Am I spending more on software subscriptions than I'm actually bringing in?
faisalmq/54h7 calls this the guesswork trap: when you don't have a clear view of cash flow, you're flying blind. You might feel rich because your balance is high — then a tax bill blindsides you three months later.
Simo's Ultimate Finance Tracker ($47 · 109 ratings · 5.0★) is a proven fix on Gumroad: income, expenses, budgets, subscriptions, investments, debts, and savings goals in one Notion workspace. 4,000+ people have used Simo's templates. Creator rating 5.0 from 592 verified reviews across 29 products.

Why creators use a single file (faisalmq/54h7)
faisalmq/54h7 built their tracker because complex accounting apps are overkill for solo operators. One user mentioned that for the first time in three years they didn't panic at quarterly tax time because the sheet had already calculated their set-aside months in advance. Another realized they were paying for three project management tools they weren't using — saving over $600/year.
Five minutes a week beats mental math and scattered bank statements.
