The fix: Every payment that comes in, immediately move 30% to a separate taxes bucket.

Surprise #4: Best client wasn't who they thought

$8,000/month client with daily standups and weekend availability: $35/hr effective.

$2,000/month client with one weekly call: $85/hr effective.

Lesson: Revenue ≠ profit. Calculate per-client profitability.
