Getting HikerAPI working with Osintgram on freestyle vm via termux
I've been experimenting with running Osintgram from Termux on Android and connecting it to HikerAPI.
The setup had a few confusing parts because Osintgram contains different API-related components. At first, I was checking the "hikerapi" Python package and its "Client" class, but the main Osintgram code also uses "instagram_private_api".
After checking the source code, I found that the HikerAPI integration is handled through "src/hikercli.py", where the HikerAPI client is initialized with an access token.
The authentication part eventually worked. The first error I received was an unauthorized-request message, which turned out to be related to the HikerAPI token. After configuring the token correctly, the response changed to a message saying the account needed to be topped up.
That was actually useful because it showed me that the API authentication was working and that the remaining issue was account credit rather than my Python installation.
The basic API request pattern is:

One thing that was harder than expected was figuring out which API client Osintgram was actually using. Looking only at the installed Python packages made the setup more confusing than it needed to be.
I'm still experimenting with the setup and learning how the different pieces fit together.
