Step by step

Rule out the boring suspects first. Interior light left on, glove box light stuck, trunk light burning, dashcam wired to always on, phone chargers in always live outlets, and that aftermarket alarm from the previous owner. Half of all 'parasitic drains' are solved in this paragraph.
Confirm the drain with the multimeter. Battery negative cable off, multimeter set to amps (10A setting), one probe on the negative post, one on the removed cable: the meter now reads what the car draws sleeping. After a 30-45 minute wait (modules fall asleep), healthy cars sit under 50 milliamps. Above that, the hunt begins.
Pull fuses one by one. With the meter reading, pull one fuse at a time and watch the needle: the reading collapsing when a fuse leaves identifies the guilty circuit. Radio memory circuits keep tiny draws; the one that drops 400 mA to 40 is where your vampire lives.
Interpret the guilty circuit. The fuse's label points at the system: POWER SEATS means chasing a stuck switch under the seat, AUDIO points at a hung amplifier module, BODY or BCM fuses often mean a module that never fell asleep. Now you know WHERE to look, the repair or unplug decision is manageable.
Fix, or at least contain. Sometimes the fix is a relay swap or a stuck switch; sometimes it's unplugging a dead heated seat for good. Test the drain after the fix exactly the same way: numbers don't lie, mechanic bills do.
