What is GreatUI?
GreatUI is a curated collection of beautiful, copy-pasteable, and high-performance React components built with Tailwind CSS and Framer Motion. Rather than operating as an external package or a strict dependency, it behaves as an open-source catalog where you own every line of code you bring into your workspace.

The library provides fully functional, responsive component designs that range from layout primitives (like Bento Grids and Macbook mockups) to custom dark mode transitions, interactive card hover states, and immersive Canvas/WebGL shader effects. All components are shipped with full TypeScript typing and native light/dark theme support.
The Genesis of GreatUI
For the past year, I had been building custom UI components, physics-based interactions, and interactive shaders in my spare time. They were mostly just sitting on my local machine inside experimental folders or private GitHub repositories: unseen and unused.
Occasionally, I would share clips of what I was building, and people would reach out asking: "Can I get the code for this? How did you build it?"
That was the turning point. I realized that instead of keeping these components locked away in my local file system, I should create a dedicated platform to package and distribute them.
That is how GreatUI was born. It is a collection of premium, accessible, and high-performance React components built with Tailwind CSS. The philosophy is simple:

How I Create Components
The workflow behind building a component for GreatUI follows a simple, iterative process:
- Inspiration & Ideation: Some components are inspired by outstanding design work and interfaces I discover across the web. Other times, the concept is entirely original: an idea that sparks randomly in my mind.
- Translation to Code: Once the idea is locked in, I sit down to translate that raw imagination or concept directly into code. This phase is all about testing layouts, adjusting spring physics, and smoothing out transitions.
- Evaluation: I review the final render against high aesthetic standards. If the interaction feels satisfying, performant, and truly worth it, I finalize the implementation and publish it directly to the GreatUI website to distribute the code publicly.
