I placed at 4,800 CS Rating and almost uninstalled. Six months and 700 matches later I hit 16,200. Here is what worked.
The Ranking System
CS2 Premier uses Glicko-2, not Elo. Rating Deviation means your first 30 matches swing wildly (+350/-120). After 50 matches swings shrink to +100/-100.
What Actually Moves The Needle
Crosshair placement is 70% of aiming. Keep it at head height always. Smoke lineups are the best MMR-per-hour: one Omen smoke on Mirage jungle raised my A defense win rate from 47% to 62%. Economy in MR12: below $2000 full save, $2000-3500 force MAC-10, above $4700 full buy with utility. Mental game is the biggest separator above 10k.
