MineBench: Testing Your Hardware While You Can Still Earn From It
In the ever-changing world of cryptocurrency mining, knowing exactly how well your CPU or GPU performs is crucial. But most mining benchmarks are either outdated, closed-source, bloated, or don’t reward you for testing.
That’s why I built MineBench.
What is MineBench?
MineBench is an open-source mining benchmark client built with Electron that allows you to:
- Accurately measure your CPU and GPU hashrate
- Test real mining performance across different algorithms
- Compare your hardware results with the community
- Earn crypto rewards on Solana while benchmarking
Unlike traditional benchmarking tools that only show numbers, MineBench combines performance testing with a practical reward system — you get real value for your electricity and time.
Why MineBench Matters in 2026
Transparency & Trust
The entire project is open source. You can audit the code, see exactly how benchmarks are run, and be sure there are no hidden miners or telemetry stealing your data.Real-World Relevance
Many popular mining software suites use their own “benchmark” modes that don’t always reflect actual mining performance. MineBench is designed to give honest, comparable results.Earn While Testing
In a time when mining profitability is tightening, MineBench lets you earn Solana-based rewards simply by running benchmarks and contributing your hardware data to the network.Lightweight & Modern
Built with Electron, it offers a clean, user-friendly interface while remaining cross-platform (Windows, macOS, Linux).Community-Driven
The more people run benchmarks, the more accurate and valuable the global hardware leaderboard becomes.
Who Should Use MineBench?
- Miners who want to optimize their rigs before committing to a coin
- Hardware enthusiasts testing new CPUs/GPUs
- Crypto users who like earning small rewards for contributing data
- Developers interested in mining software and blockchain reward mechanisms
