As distributed architectures become the baseline for even modest-scale projects, developers increasingly find themselves trapped in a Tunnel Forest — a chaotic sprawl of active SSH, Ngrok, Cloudflare, or FRP connections, each exposing a different port, each carrying its own ephemeral URL, and each consuming precious CPU cycles and network overhead.

Managing five different URLs for an authentication service, a frontend, a legacy API, and two database proxies is not just an orchestration headache — it is a security liability and a performance killer. Every tunnel is a separate credential set to rotate, a separate connection to monitor, and a separate failure point to debug at 2am.
