I Built 200+ Files in One Day with 6 AI Agents — Here's the System

Today I shipped 211 files. One developer. One day. Six AI agents running in parallel.

Not vibe-coding. Not prompting ChatGPT for snippets. A real orchestration system where agents coordinate work, hand off tasks, and execute in parallel waves — while I sat in the director's chair.

Here's exactly how it works.

The Problem with Solo AI Coding

Most developers use AI as a smarter autocomplete. One chat window, one task at a time. You're still the bottleneck.

The real unlock isn't better prompts — it's parallel execution across specialized agents.

The System: Pantheon

I run six persistent Claude Code agents, each with a specific role:

Prometheus	Async. Long-horizon tasks, sleep content, evergreen assets

Each god runs in a persistent tmux session. Atlas dispatches work in waves — structured JSON task packets. Gods execute, log results, Atlas reads the logs and dispatches the next wave.

How a Wave Works

Atlas sends a task like this:

Ares executes, writes a session log, Atlas picks up the result. Average wave cycle: under 30 seconds from dispatch to confirmation.

Today we ran 35 waves.

What 211 Files Looks Like

By end of day, the output included:

8 dev.to articles published (crash tolerance, multi-agent patterns, context drift, Show HN guide, and more)
Full starter kit — Next.js + Anthropic SDK + Stripe boilerplate
Product Hunt gallery — HTML mockups for 4 different asset types
Email outreach sequences — 6 personalized supporter emails
LinkedIn content — day-in-life adaptation, 3 post variants
Sleep audio scripts — 2 full stories for Prometheus agent
Reddit campaign — 4 subreddits, platform-specific angles
Session logs — every god writes structured logs per task

The multiplier effect: while Ares was publishing articles, Athena was clearing launch blockers, while Prometheus was writing sleep stories, while Peitho was building documentation. All simultaneously.

The Ops Patterns That Actually Matter

1. Gods are persistent, not stateless

Each agent has a dedicated tmux session that stays alive. No cold start overhead. No re-loading context from scratch. The god knows its role, its current wave, its last action.

2. Atlas is planner-only

Atlas never executes. It plans, dispatches, reads logs. When Atlas starts executing tasks itself, it becomes a bottleneck. Keep the orchestrator out of the critical path.

3. No budget caps on gods

During build phase, token budget caps kill momentum. A god that stops mid-task because it hit a limit is worse than a god that burns 50k tokens to complete work. Cap execution in production, not prototyping.

4. Crash tolerance is non-negotiable

We built launchd watchdogs for every god. If a session dies (OOM, context overflow, network drop), it auto-restarts within 60 seconds. OOM prevention: gods write to disk frequently and compact context before it grows critical.

5. PAX Protocol for inter-agent comms

All agent-to-agent communication uses PAX format — structured packets, not English prose. Saves ~70% tokens on coordination overhead. A god reporting back in paragraph form is waste. A god reporting back in 4 key-value pairs is signal.

The Hard Part

What doesn't work out of the box:

Context drift — After ~20k tokens, a god starts forgetting its own constraints. Solution: structured session logs it can re-read, plus explicit role reminders in each wave header.

Parallel conflicts — Two gods writing to the same file simultaneously causes silent overwrites. Solution: each god has a scoped work directory. Only Atlas touches shared state.

Ambiguous tasks — Vague wave packets produce vague output. "Write marketing copy" is a trap. "Write 3 Product Hunt taglines, max 60 chars each, tone: confident-technical" ships.

Verification lag — Gods report completion before confirming the artifact is actually live. Rule now: verify the API response, log the URL, then report complete. Never parrot stale logs.

The Stack

Claude Code — each god runs as a CC session
tmux — persistent session management
launchd — watchdog + auto-restart (macOS)
Resend — email API
Stripe — payment infrastructure
dev.to API — programmatic publishing
Shell scripts — wave dispatch, log parsing

No fancy orchestration framework. Just tmux, shell, and disciplined protocols.
